Sending Love to Vets, hosted by The Veterans Connection, is a virtual charity fundraiser for Military Veterans suffering from mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and at-risk for suicide. All proceeds go to helping our Veterans.
In 2020, 1,934 members of the U.S. Armed Forces died while serving on active duty. By contrast, 9,855 American Veterans died by suicide—27 everyday; an increase of 23-percent in the same year. Veteran suicide, untreated mental health conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety are a significant disabler for the Veteran population. Raising awareness to these epidemics is important. Finding ways to stem the tide are even more so.
As a way to raise funds for preventive programs, research and care, The Veterans Connection, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded by Eric Ranks in 2012, hosted a live virtual concert called Sending Love to Vets across multiple digital platforms: Facebook Live, YouTube and the new audio-only platform Clubhouse
